THOOM! reviews The Human Fly #11 (Marvel Comics, 1978) with T-Mafia

The Human Fly was a 1970s Marvel comic about a real life motorcycle stuntman--This guy was just like Evel Knievel, except without the fame, movies, toys, merchandise and money. Aside from this comic book, Human Fly had virtually no media presence. Which is why the soundbite at the beginning of this episode is from an Evel Knievel 70s production. Even the alleged Human Fly studio recording is nowhere to be found. Inexplicably, Marvel decided to go with The Fly when they decided to turn a real life stunt man into a comic book hero.

The fictional rock band in this story, Silver Charity  perform a song which shares the title of the story "Death of A Superstar". The SC band and their song seem to reference 70s Rock Band Bad Company and their 1976 Hit "Shooting Star" which is also about the death of a Rock Star.
Silver Charity could be any 70s corporate rock band and there are plenty of songs about death, but the resemblance to both seems more than coincidental.
