Tue, 2 December 2008 ![]() Simon Dark (DC Comics, 2007-08) #1-5. I bought these comics at a sale because Trenchcoat Mafia recommended it. I think he only gave this comic a thumbs up because the lead character is dating an underage girl. A dissapointing rip off of The Crow, Frankenstein and a thousand other "dark heroes". I want my money back. Proof (Image, 2008) #1-4 The X-Files with Rosario Dawson and Bigfoot cast as Scully and Mulder. A lot of cliches and hackneyed writing. Great Art, though. The creature of the week in the Proof story is the played out chupacabra. Where'd they get the inspiration for these characters? Watching old "In Search Of..." videos? Prince Namor, Sub-Mariner (Marvel 1984) 4 -issue mini. Soon to be reviewed on the THOOM! radio show. Initative: Sub-Mariner (Marvel 2008) see above review. Captain Marvel (Marvel 2003-04) 12-24. Good Shit. Go read it now. I think Peter David is the Stephen King of Comic Book writers. Always doing good shit, which outweighs his flops. I bet you can't even remember the flops after reading this cosmic trip. SuperGirl (DC 2008) 18,20,21 I was excited about these because they tied into Amazon Attacks and Countdown, and #21 featured Karate Kid. It was nothing to get excited about. As bland as anything.
